Let's taco 'bout it!

  • Winter loves Stove Top Stuffing, because that's what she grew up with, and her former roommates oyster stuffing. Sharon loves a good homemade stuffing such as cornbread dressing (with a little French bread).
  • We've covered a few Thanksgiving topics in the past, including the episodes Friendsgiving and Thanksgiving, holiday meats, and cranberries.
  • Canada has brought us many things, including Ruffles All Dressed Chips, hockey, poutin, Sarah McLachlan, and Barenaked Ladies, but they also have their own Thanksgiving, falling on the 2nd Monday in October. It's a perfect kickoff to Fall. Leafing or leaf peeping is perfect activity to do this.

  • Canada claims they have been doing Thanksgiving way before the Americans, because Martin Forbisher and his crew were giving thanks for a safe return to land (in the area of Newfoundland) in 1578.
  • There are themes for thanks in Canada, such as in 1833: the cessation of cholera.

Run Time: 25 minutes
